Getting Started

Install takes about 2 minutes.

Install via CurseForge

Download the CurseForge app if you don't have it, search for "RaidForge", and click Install. It handles everything automatically and keeps the addon updated.

Enable it in WoW

On the character select screen, click "AddOns" in the bottom left and make sure RaidForge is checked. Then log in.

Write your boss notes

Go to your guild's Catalog page on this website. Write strategy notes for each boss, then click "Export for Addon" to copy the string.

Import in-game

Type /rf import to open the paste box, then paste the string (Ctrl+V) and click Import. A gold RF button appears on your minimap — click it anytime to open your notes.

Share with your raid

Before the raid starts, the raid leader types /rf sync. Every raider in the group gets the notes automatically — they don't need to import anything.

The Minimap Button

A small RF button sits on your minimap once the addon loads.

Left-click

Open or close the boss notes window

Right-click

Open the full menu — sync, export, attempt summary, and more

Drag

Move the button anywhere around the minimap edge

Green dot

Notes are loaded and ready to view

Grey dot

No notes loaded yet — ask your raid leader to /rf sync

Common Questions

Do all raiders need to install it?

Yes — everyone needs the addon installed to see the notes window. However, only the raid leader needs to import the string from the website. Once they type /rf sync, the notes are pushed to everyone in the group automatically.

What WoW version does this work on?

It's built and tested on TBC Classic Anniversary realms (client 2.5.5). Other Classic-era versions aren't officially supported yet.

Will my notes disappear if I reload my UI?

No. Notes are saved automatically and survive UI reloads and log-outs. The raid leader only needs to import once per raid tier.

How do kills and wipes get tracked?

Automatically. The addon listens to WoW combat events and logs each kill and wipe in the background. At the end of the raid, the leader exports the data and imports it into the website raid page.

My minimap button is gone — how do I get it back?

Type /rf show and it will reappear.
